The Frieren subreddit has this site on its sidebar alongside MyANimeList, Mangadex, etc. I was curious what this site is about, so I clicked. It
is not immediately apparent to me what the site is for other than just a search engine for anime.
Even if you click the fox logo in the upper left, it takes you to /explore/anime and doesn't have any text explaining what the site is for. What its purpose is. is it like Letterboxd for anime to track what you've watched? Is it to get recommendations using a nice algorithm if you have an account? Is it just simplistic recommendations? Why should I sign up?
I suggest:
  1. upper left fox logo, when clicking, takes you to the root. kitsu.app. Not kitsu.app/explore/anime. This creates confusion as most websites logo when clicked take you to a home page with some sort of "welcome, here's what we're all about!" info.
  2. create an "About" page that explains the reason for this site's existence. Why should I sign up? Some sort of "call to action". As it stands, the "home page" appears to just be icons of various anime and a search bar. Just searching for anime, Crunchyroll does this already. Is this a social media site like Letterboxd so people can share what they've seen and want to watch?
